The karate competitions at the BRICS 2024 Games begin. They will last two days - June 14-15. More than 220 athletes from 19 countries, including Russia, Brazil, China, UAE, Venezuela, Bahrain, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Turkey, India and others, will compete for championship titles. The competitions will start at 10:00 and will be held at the St. Petersburg Volleyball Center. During the day six sets of medals will be played: "Kata" for women, as well as bouts for men (60, 67 and 75 kg) and women (50, 55 kg). The finals will begin at 18:30.
ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS
The Gymnastics Center will host the final competitions in individual disciplines: vault and uneven bars for women; floor exercise, pommel horse and rings - for men. The performances will start at 15:00.
Olympic champions Nikita Nagorny, David Belyavsky, Artur Dalaloyan and Angelina Melnikova will compete for medals, as well as winners of the BRICS 2024 Games in all-round events Daniel Marinov and Leila Vasilyeva, World Cup medalist Alyona Tsitavets from Belarus, athletes from Thailand, Turkey and Mongolia.
TABLE TENNIS
The Boxing and Table Tennis Center will host the medals in the men's and women's table tennis team tournaments on Friday. China-India and Russia-Iran will meet in the women's semifinals. From 11:00 at the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace there will be preliminary bouts and consolation bouts, as well as bouts for 3rd places. Finals will begin at 16:30.
