At the BRICS Games - Russia vs. Brazil in football and 80 sets of medals

A final in the Phygital Football, lots of boxing, wrestling and breaking - all on the penultimate day of the BRICS Games.


The "Basket Hall" will host the decisive matches of the BRICS Games football tandem competition on Saturday. In the semifinals, the national team of Kazakhstan will play Venezuela, and the national team of Brazil will face the national team of Russia.

The semifinals will start at 12:00. At 17:00 the spectators will see the match for the 3rd place, and at 18:30 the final will begin, which will determine the first winner of the BRICS Games tournament in phygital football.

We would like to remind you that the tournament participants include four Russian FIFA champions (EA FC), Daniil Abeldyaev ("Abel") and Robert Fakhretdinov ("Ufenok77") from Virtus Pro, as well as Anton Klenoff ("Klenoff") and Stepan Mikhovich ("Funki") from AMKAL ESPORTS.


On Saturday, the BRICS Games in Kazan will determine the winners of 25 sets of boxing medals. The tournament will end with final bouts in the men's up to 46-48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63.5, 67, 71, 75, 80, 86, 92 and over 92 kg weight categories and the women's up to 45-48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 75, 81 and over 81 kg weight categories.

In the bout for gold in the weight up to 48 kg will meet the European champion among youth Russian Volodya Mnatsakanyan and the participant of the world championship Shodierjon Melikuziev from Uzbekistan, in the weight up to 63.5 kg bronze medalist of the European Youth Championship Belarusian Vladimir Volchok will go up against the champion of the Youth Olympic Games Ilya Popov. In the women's 57 kg category, world championship silver medalist and Olympic Games participant from Russia Lyudmila Vorontsova and Indian champion Sakshi will compete for the gold medal. The audience will also see decisive fights with the participation of the strongest boxers from Azerbaijan, China, Venezuela and other countries.

Final fights for women in SC "Center of boxing and table tennis" will start at 12:00, for men - at 16:00.


On June 22, the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace will host belt wrestling competitions as part of the BRICS Games in Kazan. Men will determine the winners in weight categories up to 57, 62, 68, 75, 82, 90, 100 and over 100 kg in freestyle and classical style, women - in 52, 58, 66, 76 and over 76 kg. A total of 21 sets of awards will be played.

The strongest wrestlers from Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries will take part in the competition.

Preliminary fights will start at 9:00, final fights - at 17:00.


Breaking competitions will start on Saturday in Moscow, at the Dynamo Sports Academy, where athletes from 27 countries will compete for 3 sets of medals - in 1x1 (men/women) and 4x4 team competitions.

The Russian national team will be represented in the Olympic discipline by 8 dancers: Ruslan Gromov, Nazip Minikaev, Ivan Prok, Ruslan Faizrakhmanov, Alexander Ganachyan, Sergey Chernyshev, Tatiana Russkikh and Veronika Chirtzova. Their rivals will be dancers from all over the world - from Argentina and Chile to China, India and Malaysia. In total, athletes from 27 countries, including Russia, will compete in the tournament.

The qualifying stage, ⅛, ¼ and ½ finals in singles and team competitions will be held in one day, which starts at 14:00.


On the last day of the BRICS Games canoeing and kayaking competitions, participants will compete for 15 sets of medals.

Most of the day's competition program will be taken up by team disciplines: 200 and 1000 meters in canoe and kayak among pairs of men and women separately, 500 meters for fours, as well as 200 meters for mixed pairs. The final heats at the Rowing Sports Center will start at 10:00. Of particular interest are the single races at a distance of 5000 meters - they will start at 16:00.


On Saturday, the rhythmic gymnastics competitions will feature individual finals in group exercises (5 hoops and 5 pairs of clubs) and individual program (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon, no apparatus).

The audience will see the performances of the strongest Russian gymnasts: Lala Kramarenko, who became the champion of the BRICS Games in the individual all-around, Maria Borisova, Anna Popova, Diana Chugunikhina, as well as the leaders of the Belarusian team Anastasia Salos and Alina Rechkina.

The competitions will be held at the FST "Gymnastics Center" and will start at 10:00 with the junior women's tournament.


Fencing competitions are coming to an end at the BRICS Games. On June 22, three sets of awards will be drawn - in rapiers and sabers for men and epee for women. The first matches at the St. Petersburg Volleyball Center will start at 9:00. Final matches in team competitions are scheduled from 16:00.

Among the participants of the tournament are the strongest athletes from Russia: foil fencers Anton and Kirill Borodachev, Timur Safin and Vladislav Zhuravlev, epee fencers Milen Bavuge Habimana, Yana Bekmurzova, Tatiana Gudkova and Aizanat Murzanaeva.


Seven sets of judo awards will be played at the BRICS Games. The winners and medalists will be determined in men's 81, 90, 100 and 100+ kilogram weight categories, and women's 48, 52 and 57 kilogram weight categories. The spectators are waiting for bouts with participation of Mansur Lorsanov, the gold medalist of the "Grand Helmet" (90 kg), the winner of the Youth World Championship Niyaz Bilyalov (100 kg), the winner of the National Cup Alexander Shalimov (over 100 kg) and other talented judokas who have shown themselves both on the domestic and international arenas.

Preliminary sparring among men over 100 kg will start at 10:00 on the tatami in the Tatneft Arena. The final matches will start at 16:00.
