Basketball Tournament Finals - today at the BRICS Games!

The start of the chess tournament and the basketball double-header final - another eventful day at the BRICS Games.

Diving

The Aquatics Center will host the final day of diving competitions.

Four sets of medals will be played - in mixed diving from 10-meter tower and 3-meter springboard for men and women.

Among the participants are jumpers from Russia, Belarus, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Uzbekistan, including two-time BRICS-2024 gold medalist Elizaveta Kuzina.

The competitions will start at 12:00.

Freestyle wrestling

The women's 50kg, 53kg, 55kg, 57kg, 59kg, 62kg, 65kg, 68kg, 72kg and 76kg weight categories in freestyle wrestling competitions will be held on Tuesday. The Russian national team includes European bronze medalist Milana Dadasheva, European silver medalist Svetlana Lipatova and Olympic bronze medalist Ekaterina Bukina.

There will also be consolation matches and finals for wrestlers-volley wrestlers. Athletes from Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and South Ossetia will fight for gold medals. The competition day will start at 11:00.

Basketball Doubles

Basketball Hall will host semifinal and medal matches of the Basketball Tournament. In the 1/2 finals the Brazilian national team will meet with the team of the Republic of Belarus (beginning at 12:30), and Russian basketball players will play with Uzbekistan.

The colors of the Russian national team are defended by Vladislav Meleshkin, the winner of the Fijital Basketball tournament at the Future Games, and the leading players of the national 3x3 basketball team - Konstantin Grekov, Yuri Bespalov, Alexander Stepanov. Professional basketball players Sergei Vabishchevich, Maxim Sazonov, Maxim Lyutych and cyber sportsman Sergei Sukhanov play for Belarus.

The final will start at 14:30, and the game for bronze is also scheduled.

Chess

Chess competitions at the BRICS Games will start in the IT Park. A total of 6 sets of medals will be played in men's, women's and mixed chess, 3 of which will be played in blitz, and 3 will be played in rapid chess.

The Russian national team will be represented by some of the best grandmasters of the country: Andrey Esipenko, Vladislav Artemyev, Ekaterina Lagno and Valentina Gunina. The competitors are chess players from India, China, Brazil, Venezuela, UAE, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Belarus and other countries.

The chess competition will last 4 days, from June 18 to 21. Each game day will start at 10:00.

Tennis

Semifinal matches of women's team competition and men's bronze medal match will be held at the Kazan Tennis Academy on Tuesday.

For women, the Russian team led by Polina Kudermetova will play against Republika Srpska, while India will compete against Belarus for the second place in the BRICS Games finals.

In the men's third place and bronze medal match, India will play against Uzbekistan.

The semifinal matches will start at 10:00.
